HR Team Members Racing Again!

It was a big race weekend with the first swim of the North Shore series, the 1 mile Raging Isle swim, on Saturday morning. The conditions were perfect and it was a beautiful day up on the north shore. HR swimmers included Tom Mark, Shirley Akamine, Jodie Hagerman (alum) and myself. The next race in the series, Cholo's Waimea Swim, is July 12th. Entries can be mailed in until 7/2 or you can sign up on race day. Bike To Hana Admissions Day weekend

Hi Everyone -

In case you're interested, IT&B's owner, Frank Smith, asked me to pass this on.

He still has a few spaces available on his signature event: the road to Hana bicycle adventure. The dates are Friday 8/15, Admissions Day holiday, through Sunday 8/17. The cost is $450 which includes all your meals, basic no frills lodging, support van, bike mechanic, route map and a whole lot of fun. The road to Hana is a superb training event, especially for Oahu cyclists who are burned out on the same old routes. Noa Sakamoto Joins Our Coaching staff for Rough Water Clinic

I am pleased to announce that the winner of Last Years Rough Water swim and a top 5 finisher at the Olympic Trials qualifier Noa Sakamoto will be helping us out at the Rough Water swim clinic. This is great and exciting news for all of us.

Coaches Cliff, Peter and Repete Say Thanks!!

What a wonderful post Honu party. It was great seeing everyone at Du Vin. Again, we would like to thank Laurie and Rick for making this happen.

Also can't say enough thanks to all of you for those wonderful coach gifts. My paddleboard was in its new state of the art bag 20 minutes after I got home from the party.

2008 North Shore Triathlon

Two of our fellow HR team members competed in the annual 2008 North Shore Triathlon race this past Sunday June 8th.

When you see them congratulate them on an outstanding performance.

Jami Hirota took third in her age group with a time of 1 hr & 7 min. Great job Jami!

Bocar Wane came in about the middle of his age group with a time of 1 hr & 13 min. Great job Bocar!

Honu 1/2 Ironman Post Race Party - Update!

Great Race Honu HR Tri Team!!

We are very proud of all of our Honu 1/2 Team members. They put out big efforts on the toughest Honu to date. Congrats to ALL.

Two of our athletes won spots to the 2008 Ironman World Championship in Kona! Great Job Ralph & Cliff! We'll have to head to Kona to cheer you on!
